Why is the Santa Fe Black Bean Chili only available in Texas? Why not All over the country?

Reply

Ron Thursday, March 6, 2014 at 1:48 pm

I second the request for the vegan Santa Fe Black Bean Chili to be at all locations!

Please make sure to also have lots of fresh cilantro available, as well.

The Santa Fe Black Bean Chili had been previously available in New Mexico for years now. Why the change to restrict it to just Texas?

Hi P.B. – Regional sections will vary month by month. Please continue to check the menu availability in your area.

Get with the program and offer organic options. You will gain many, many more customers if you provide organic healthy food choices. Produce and vegetables that are not organic contain pesticides, herbicides, and fungicides that are sprayed on them before they are harvested. Quality food = organic food. Even if you need to raise prices it would be well worth gaining all the business of customers who lead a healthy lifestyle. Check out Costco and see that they are jumping on the bandwagon and are featuring more and more organic options. Guaranteed your business will grow leaps and bounds if you offer organic options.

Money saving coupons, “Lunch for 2″, “Dinner for 2″…in other words, if you’re running solo which I frequently do, you’re crap out of luck. Thanks for considering those of us who are in this situation.

Hi Tom – We often rotate our coupon offerings to meet various diner’s needs, stay tuned for different offers.

Reply

Mike Thursday, March 6, 2014 at 1:19 pm

Sorry Admin but your response is a bunch of hoohah. Last weeks coupopn was for 7.99, beverage not included, and that equals the same face value as this week’s when multiplied by two. So just how is that “meeting various diner’s needs” when it is the same thing? I agree with Tom, it is inconsiderate to solo diners so I will spend my money elsewhere this week.

WHEN are you going to open a Sweet Tomatoes in Palm Coast/Daytona are?

Reply

L. Brooks Thursday, March 6, 2014 at 5:35 am

Thank you for your great salad bar. Many, many more people across the country are adopting a Plant Based Whole Food, No Added Oil lifestyle as presented in “Forks Over Knives”. We are recognizing the health consequences of the standard American diet (SAD). I ask Sweet Tomatoes to always offer at least one vegan, no added oil soup to it menu options. We enjoy your salad bar with the addition of our own salad dressing & your baked potatoes, but usually cannot enjoy your other offerings. I realize we are a small percent of the population, but our numbers are increasing.

Isn’t there some way you can design your coupon mailings so that printing them is easier and on one page?
Seems I have to print two pages to have the coupons and the coupons are split on the two pages.

Hi, my wife and I used to visit quite often – mainly on Mondays as you served the best soup ever – Cream of Mushroom! Now its gone! Yikes, now we don’t really visit anymore. We are too bummed out that its gone. There are other good soups and what not but we really miss this soup. Please consider bringing it back!

Hi Matt – Our Cream of Mushroom Soup has joined our other soups for our quarterly rotation, but it will be available March 20-23rd! So, stop in and get a few bowls.

I’d have to agree with the others. I came in with a large group of friends and several of us were disappointed that there wasn’t even ONE Gluten-free bread option. It would have been nice to see one sweet and and one savory. (GF pasta is widely available now and you could have one recipe in the hot pasta section and another in the cold salads section…the sky’s the limit). More rice, GF pasta, beans, sweet potato and lentil dishes!

I love eating at Sweet Tomatoes. Wish you had more gluten free soups and muffins. I missed a chance to taste the gluten free muffins that were available in February. I heard that they were so popular that the availability was extended until the end of the month. Why not make them available as a regular treat?
I ate your deep kettle chili and my daughter tried a vegetarian soup. We noticed that both soups were very watery. Taste was good but consistency was not.
Salads, etc. were fresh and delicious.

I, too, need any and all gluten-free items you can offer. I have not been to Sweet Tomatoes for 2 years because I didn’t you had any gluten-free offerings. Soup, pasta and pizza, in addition to the muffins, would be a huge draw. Gluten-free people are always looking for another place to eat! Thanks!

We would like to see a Sweet Tomatoes on St. Simons Island, Ga. There are some fine restaurants but none with a salad bar. We have seen your restaurant in Bradenton/Sarasota and we are most impressed.

I love your Cream of Mushroom soup. I used to go with a group every Monday. Now that you don’t serve it every Monday – We stopped going. I see you are bringing it back in march for a few days and it is in the quarterly rotation, but why not back to every Monday?? It seems like you have alot of customers that like cream of mushroom soup and your losing business.

Hi Dawn – Thank you for your feedback. We decided to switch our Cream of Mushroom Soup to a quarterly rotation because many diners could not make it for a visit only on Mondays. This way, more people can enjoy a dish they love :)

Sweet Tomatoes is my absolute favorite restaurant. It would be wonderful if you could serve organic food, at least the salads, but I realize that may be very difficult and the prices would have to go up. I go to your restaurant in our area every chance I get because I always feel like I can eat healthy and the food is very good. Thank you!

The 3 best restaurants in the Los Angeles area, that put out, tapioca pudding are Souplantation, Sizzler’s, and Zen Asian Buffet. My mother and Souplantation makes the best tapioca pudding I’ve ever tasted. My wife and I, mostly come for the fresh salad bar and the variety of soups. I mostly like the variety of soups and pasta. Especially, spaghetti, your spaghetti is even better than the Spaghetti Factory in Duarte. Your Chile soup is only second to the Chile at the Riviera Buffet at the Riviera’ Casino, in Las Vegas. Your clam chowder soup is as good as the best chowder houses I ever eaten at. I especially like your vegetable Spanish soup. My wife, Peggy Joyce, especially loves your fresh vegetable bar, thank you.

Which of your salad dressings are vegan?

Reply

Mary Wednesday, March 12, 2014 at 3:26 pm

Sweet Tomatoes is my favorite restaurant. The only problem I have when going there is that they put pork products in many of their soups and salads. I try not to eat pork as many other health conscious people do as well. They could serve the bacon and ham on the side for the people who want to add that to their food. Many of us wouldn’t touch it with a ten foot pole I’m sure. I would be happier if they would go organic as well.

Thank you SO much for starting to include gluten-free breads on your menu. The coconut muffins were so popular, they were gone as quickly as a new batch was put out. I think many people took them who didn’t need gluten-free food, as they were placed FIRST in the lineup of muffins and the sign indicating they were gluten free was quite small!

Hi I have been a big fan of your restaurant for years. I am moving to Florida (where you have many locations) from New England (where there are none), so as you can imagine I am excited to once again have options near me.

However, I recently became a vegan. I checked the Palm Harbor menu and saw no vegan soups! I though all restaurants have at least one? Also, are there any plans to add more vegan items – perhaps muffins or pasta? Even dairy free (but still containing eggs) would work as a high percentage of the population is lactose intolerant.

Also, you should consider adding a vegan cream based soup to the menu. I love all your cream based soups and am dissapointed that I have to skip them. A cream of broccoli, tomato soup, or even a split pea sounds excellent (and very easy to make with just a few easy butter and milk substitutions).

Thanks for listening to my feedback…hopefully it goes somewhere ;)
