SWEET TOMATOES HOSTS FUNDRAISER TO HELP HOMELESS FAMILIES

Starting November 15, Sweet Tomatoes in Washington and Oregon are asking the local community to eat their cookies and milk. From November 15 – December 15, guests can purchase Sweet Tomatoes’ famous homemade chocolate chip cookies for $2 (two dollars) and Sweet Tomatoes will donate 100% of the proceeds to Family Bridge, an organization that serves homeless families with children by providing them shelter, meals, help and hope so that they may achieve stability and self-sufficiency. This is the second year of the cookie partnership for Sweet Tomatoes and Family Bridge; last year Sweet Tomatoes raised $9,500. With each bag of cookies purchased, guests will receive a coupon for a return visit. For information about Sweet Tomatoes call your local restaurant or visit www.sweettomatoes.com or for information about the Family Bridge visit www.family-bridge.org.

Well my kids and husband love Chocolate cream pie. Every year I have to have that pie. But I love Apple pie and cherry pie. Me and my husbands are the only ones to eat them.

And the favorite sweet tomatoes dessert by far is that chocolate cake with hot fudge an a little vanilla yogurt soft serve on top :)

My mother was an absolute whiz at making pies. Thanksgiving was her turn to really shine. The choices were Pumpkin, Mince, Apple and Pecan. I think the the Mince was my favorite.

As a footnote, I was a customer at Souplantation when the only location was on Mission Gorge Road. I now live in Hesperia, Ca. and the nearest Souplantation is 43 miles away.
