Sweet Tomatoes & Souplantation Help Guests “Feel Like a Kid Again”
Grilled Cheese Dippers and more classics available September 18-24 in all restaurants
SAN DIEGO, Calif. – September 8, 2014 – Starting September 18, Sweet Tomatoes and Souplantation restaurants nationwide are offering guests the opportunity to escape the post-summer doldrums and “Feel Like a Kid Again” with menu items featuring upgrades on classic kid favorites, like grilled cheese and chocolate chip cookies. The limited time offer menu will be available at all Sweet Tomatoes and Souplantation locations until September 24.
“Grilled cheese is a staple we all know and adore, but it’s often found on the ‘kid’s meal’ section of the menu,” said Kim Menzies, director of culinary innovation at Sweet Tomatoes and Souplantation’s parent company, Garden Fresh Restaurant Corp. “We’re excited to offer our guests a fresh take on the classics, evoking memories with every bite.”
The Feel Like a Kid Again menu includes Grilled Cheese Focaccia Dippers, Classic Creamy Tomato Soup and Chocolate Chip Cookie Bars. When it comes to this limited time menu, eating with your hands is acceptable. Tricks of the trade include dunking Grilled Cheese Focaccia Dippers into Classic Creamy Tomato Soup and topping off the Chocolate Chip Cookie bar with Soft Serve Ice Cream.
Sweet Tomatoes and Souplantation are also bringing to life another childhood tradition, roasting marshmallows, by offering a S’mores dessert for a limited time from September 4-10. Graham crackers layered with melted chocolate and gooey marshmallows are sure to satisfy the sweet tooth of all guests, young and old.
